About Luke
Hi, I'm Luke Tomlinson
From an early age piano improvisation has been my favourite form of expression. I’ve always learned tunes by ear, composed pieces and enjoy experimenting with music.
I studied Film at Falmouth and became interested in the relationship between sound, image and emotion and learned to edit film which has been great training for my podcasts.
After university I worked on a cruise ship (Celebrity Summit) which taught me perseverance and introduced me to a vast array of music, (some of which I still can’t stand!)
I compose music for film and have been on film centric podcasts such as Flixwatcher discussing the films ‘Pig’ and ‘Elvis’. Also on Frame by Frame discussing the music in ‘Snow White and the 7 Dwarves’ (1937) and The Jazz Singer. I’ve also been on the fascinating podcast which explores music in medicine: The Creative Medicine Podcast. I play different genres such as folk pop and reggae in various bands.
